OBD-II swap into 97 civic
If you swap a 97 or 98 b18c into a 97 civic..which is OBD-2 will you throw a check engine automaticly? if all sesnors are connected i should be fine correct?? just need some quik advice. thanks

OBD0 -1991, ODB1 1992-1995, OBD2 1996- You shouldn't throw a check engine light if everything is hooked up properly and the sensors are all good. However, when doing an engine swap, there is a lot more involved and many things can go wrong(especially wiring). Who gives a damn anyways, it's just a check engine light

if everthing is done correctly, then it shouldn't throw a CEL for anything.

If you do a good job you shouldnt have an CEL... Hell I wouldnt be satisfied with my swap if I ended up with a CEL.
