my lil cuz, just got a 00 jetta. and he asked me how to wire up his neons to a on/off toggle switch.. i told him i would find out how! help us

Wire the toggle switch to pass a ground. Then get a relay and wire it like this, pin 85 +12V, 86 - input from toggle, 30 +12V, 87 +output to neon.

 

Ummm... Why get all complicated with a relay? Most neon kits these days have self contained transformers and have relatively low current draws, so the relay really isn't necessary.

Just put the toggle inline with your power wire going from your 12v source to your neons. Done.

 

Well, he didn't specify what kind of toggle switch he was using (current capability). So just went with a universal way to do it. Also don't forget the fuse!

No offense, but if you need a diagram to hook up a simple 2 wire circuit with a switch, then maybe you should take it somewhere and have it done....
