Default F*ckin Crank wont come off oil pump

Just taking my crank out of my B16 and it wont come off the damn Oil pump. its like seized in there. how the hell do i get the damn thing out. I tried PB and WD. i dont want to use a hammer and mushroom the end of the crank.

anyone help? the damn gear is just stuck on there and it wont come off. can anyone help me?

heat the gear, and lightly pry on each side w a screwdriver.

I don't get the problem. Timing gear stuck on crank. Oil pump won't slide off? what exactly is stuck. ?

yes the timing gear is stuck. and i need to get the oil pump off so i can send the crank in to get micropolished and have it checked out.

Just tried heating it up and 2 pry bars and it didnt budge.

i just did this yesterday, I think this is your problem.

If you cant get the timing gear off, get the flywheel off and put two of the flyywheel bolts back in and put a bar in between the two bolts (i used my jack bar) and this will hold the timing gear so it doesnt spin free. losen the timing gear and then take off the oil pump, u can use a flat tip to pop it off. I stopped there, but i will finish today.

what did you heat it with, sounds like it didn't heat enough or the heat didn't stay concentrated in the gear alone. I have been through a ton of these, the right heat and two lady feet and your good.

Some times a brass punch and a good hammer and nailing it all the way aroung the face will crack the oxidization or rust loose and allow your penetrant in.
