Default jdm motor

I have been to hell and back with my car.. my car engine is destroyed because of a couple of mods and cannot claim warranty. Anyhow I am considering a used JDM motor. I have found a complete swap set up for $5300 + $298 ship. Motor, trans, ecu, axles, linkage etc. Supposedly its in stock in Montreal and could be shipped to me PA in 3-4 days. Has anyone done this set up with success. Anybody have suggestions on reputable (meaning your own personel experience) suppliers of JDM type r set ups. Alot of money and Im parinoid because of internet transaction. How would you guys handle this situation. Thanks

Give them a call on the phone. You can tell a lot about a shop by how they handle their potential clients by phone. I called up one shop a while back to order an exhaust that just hit the U.S. market. The ******* with whom I spoke wanted to argue with me about whether this particular exhaust even existed. Needless to say, I spent my $500+ elsehwhere. So, like I said, you can really tell how you 'll be treated by giving them a call.
