i just put a act hdss clutch in my b16 ek hatch.....broke it in...went i went to try it out i was coming into 2nd and it grinded bad, kinda like the clutch isnt going to the floor but it is...??? is there any way to adjust the pedal? maybe the clutch isnt engaging all the way.....i know it sounds like the syncros.....but there is no grinding whats so ever at normal shifting, and we examined the tranny fluid for any kind of metal debris and didnt find any.....i know its not the syncros....

you can adjust it by the pedal, but you should make sure you have enough fluid in your slave cylinder.

Correct. But I wouldn't mess with the adjustment.

Your slave cylinder probably just needs to be bled.

we are talking about the clutch master cylinder, not the tranny fluid. When you push down the clutch pedal, hydrolic lines run to the tranny to engage/disengage the clutch. Its the fluid in these lines we are referring to. I use brake fluid in mine.

Thats not how either master cylinders work...theyre just hydraulic (basically)

Just regular brake fluid (I use dot 3) is needed in the clutch master cylinder.

You need to adjust the pedal. There are 2 nuts at the top, its self explanatory once you look.

 

Yeah, just adjust the pedal... after you check the fluid level of course...

There is a rod that you can twist in or out, take a look under the dash, you should be able to find it, it's pretty easy to adjust.
