Will you damage your automatic transmission by "sport shifting"?
I wasn't really sure what the term was for this, but it's when you start your automatic out in D1, then move to D2, D3, etc. Is this bad for your transmission?
in reallity...it's fine. nothing bad is going to happen unless your keep launching an automatic from neutral to the drive gears...like "N" to the "D's"
when you go from d1 to d2 to d3 and so on...it does it in a matter just like you driving it.

Daily yes, its not ideal. Done only when called for, meh...tolerable.

I disagree with the above answers that it's bad and will damage your tranny. Look at all the newer autos on the market... they all have the stick or button to shift it manually. There is nothing significantly different with these trannys and your's.
Don't overrev it, since you don't have the electronic lock outs built into yours but shift it manually if you like.

werdnon the less it should not effect your tranny. It still shifts the same way it is just taking the inout from you rather than doing it automaticly. Whats worse for your tranny is that while your going this your probably ragging the **** out of it. THat will do more damage than manually shifting your auto. So stop ******* around and swap to a manual or get another car.
