Default my car got owned by a baseball

yeah, someone threw a baseball at my rsx. for all the rsx owners, it's on the crease of the rear driver side panel, right below the quarter window. edit: i got two estimates for repair. first estimate: $895. second estimate: $1100.

here it is.

this is what it should look like (passenger side)

That does suck - I don't see any paint damage though. Unless it's cracked/puckered/spidered can't this be fixed through a paintless dent removal place?

both places said it would cost that much because they need to take out the whole panel. and if you look at your rsx carefully, that whole panel connects over the door up near the a-pillar. it goes all the way back to the rear headlight, which they said they need to remove as well.

can't even use ding king cuz it's on the crease.

does anyone know if my insurance rates will rise if i claim this?

you do not need to replace that whole, thats rediculous, i use to work for a bodyshop, they can come in from behind the panel, and work it out from there

you cant sue his parents for somthing there little kid did

and paintless dent removal wont take that out, thats on the crease of the rear fender, that needs alot of attention from a skilled bodyman, i use to help a paintless dent removal guy at the dealership i worked at, and thats way more than can be done that way

that guys saying that he knows a friend who could do it for $20, cuz he got a "hook up"

i mean, that's cool for him, but i just want the guarantee that when it's fixed, it'll be perfectly fixed. don't want no half *** job on my bodywork.

and 01-0720 is right, it's right on the crease, and paintless dent removal doesn't sound like it's going to work. the dent does look fairly small, but the indentation caused more than a dent... i don't know how to explain this, but the dent is actually more like a fold, which causes the ends of the fold to rise up.

whatever. this pisses me off

you can. If he is under 18, you can sue the parents. Pretty common knowledge.

I feel your pain. But because of my own stupidity I have a nasty dent about the same size, but uglier on the creese of the right rear wheel well. So like you that whole panel needs to be takin off. I need paint too though. Its gonna suck maxin out my credit card to fix a dent.

Hope it all works out for you
