hey i have a 90 crx and just a vtec head one and left it obd0 how do i wire vtec but not using the tach

get a pwo or pr3 ecu and hook it up use search for pinouts if you need

 

ok i dont have the plugs that plug up to the plugs on the vtec sleinoid and can i still use my stock ecu

 

u will need a pr3 ,i have for sale. ure pinouts are A8 VTS B5 VTPS B19 KS
u will need the plugs for the VTS and VTPS, and u have to ground the solenoid

You splice into the wire for the shift light..Then hook a wire from it to a 30 amp relay then from that to the vtec solenoid wire.,,and use the shift light stting as the rpm switch...Done..However if you dont have the correct fuel/timing maps for vtec it will feel no different..
