Rule question... NOPI/NHRA/CSCS ( canada )
I thought somewhere in the rules it was said that you cannot have any openings to the outside in the car...
Im not trying to start a battle, but I was looking at pictures of mark Braunnings car when it is in the paint booth in 2004 and I noticed this...

His rear axle has openings to the outside of the car... is this legal? or after the paint and work they sealed that with a rubber boot???
A answer would be greatly appreciated.

It does'nt state that in the NDRA rulebook, but is covered under the chassis section of the NHRA rulebook.
You can not have any holes in the firewall, the floor or sub floor directly under the driver. You do however have to have a drain hole in the floor so combustable liquids do not build up in the car.
So basically, fill all holes in the firewall, all holes in the floor(especially near the driver). What you are trying to eliminate is the fireball coming in on top of the driver. Hope that helps you.
