u put some fresh spark plugs in there?...i had the starting issues as well...no spark, thought it was the distributer, in the end, it was a fouled spark plug

bump...spark plugs didnt work...anybody...at all...99 d16y7...with all d15 accessories and ecu...d15 manis...bolted in perfect abd cranks but no fire from the distributor...same distributor started the motor that i took it off from...any info would help...thanks
i also recently swapped a y7 in my 95 hatch, i used all the parts from my z6 (manis, wiring harness, etc.) , but i used a obd-1 non vtec distrib that my friend had laying around, and slapped that on...
OBD-1 distrib has 2 connectors, Obd-2 has only 1
just use ur old distrib off the motor you took out of your coupe...

i did use the dist off the coupe..found problem...crackhead mechanic that installed the push start on the car cut into all sorts of ******* grounds...then used the twist and tape method...after pulling the harness and some extensive solder work i got fire...now no fuel...i think it might be the little washer for the filter to fuel rail line...theres not one on there and i think those little washers pass fuel(they have like grooved cuts in em)...should work right...if anybody else might know something let me know...thanks for the help
