haha sounds like everything goes to **** when you try to make a turn..as far as knowing wats wrong, i couldnt tell you exactly. check the wiring from your old ls cluster and reference it with the ITR cluster.

theres some info in the archives about this mod if you search. some people change the green film, i would just open up both clusters and swap the itr gauges and bezel into your stock cluster housing. simple.

someone just post the link to the god damn thread with the pinouts. I have a 98 ITR and I replaced the inner harness and cluster with supposedly a 98 inner dash harness and cluster and my gas gauge doesnt work. I tried a 94 GSR cluster and the gauge worked on it but everything else was all fucked up like what he described, so now Im stumped

this is a very simple modification that an old buddy of mine taught me. dont make it hard because it is not.

all you have to do is use your ORIGINAL STOCK gauge cluster that came with the car(if you dont have it, then find the correct one and correct year).

open up both clusters. remove the itr gauges and the fancy faux carbon fiber bezel. now look at your stock cluster. if the icons such as the cel and srs etc are at different locations from the itr one, simply but CAREFULLY remove the amber film and use it in place of the ones on the itr bezel. so basically what you are doing is relocating the icons from your stock plain black bezel onto the fancy carbon itr one.

then, place the itr gauges ONTO your stock cluster housing along with the bezel, and nobody would ever know you converted the cluster to itr spec using your factory one. basically you are using only the itr gauges, and bezel and reusing the housing from your stock cluster. easy.

btw, this mod is not exclusive to "jdm". you can do it to your usdm, jdm, cdm, ukdm etc.

Yeah, ive read/seen about swapping this a million times. What I was looking for would be a pinout diagram for the Clusters between 98+ and 94-97. See i dont have the original cluster or dash harness so im kinda fucked. Everything else worrks flawlessly but my gauge doesnt read at all. What i need is wiring help. thanks anyways
