So ive got full exhaust setup that came with the car when i bought it. And i bought one of those mufflers made specially for the crx to replace this raspy straight one thats on there now. So the bolt on muffler gets here and i go to put it on and the last guy who own this car had that exhaust welded on and the pipe run all the way to the cat, So im looking for a aftermarket replacement for this pipe so i can just bolt everything up
Does this pipe have a special name?

 

It is called the b pipe. You can have one fabbed at any exhaust shop or try to buy the b pipe from someone. Most exhaust companies are not going to sell just the b pipe.

 

Yeah, cheapest thing to do is have both sides flanged and an exhaust shop and bolt that ish up.

well labor probly 20 or less. parts maybe up to 200 depending how bad they wanan rip you off

 

just order a piping kit from kteller

 

My local exhaust shop claimed they could only fit 2" pipe over the rear suspension.

I think they're incompetent though......or just lazy.

 

i bought that piece with the bolts from my local muffler shop. i think it was about $10-12.

i had my comptech header (uninstalled) and took it in to them. they just found a gasket and then the b pipe that would fit my collector (2") while the b pipe itself was 2.25".
