Unless you fix it yourself, I think it may be more cost effective to buy another ls block... they go for pretty cheap. hell, i'm even selling one.

you can get a brand new ls motor motor with the complete swap for 700 so just the motor you can get for really cheap

trash it....or sell it for cheap for those who wants it.....get urself a new one. If you go more detail about upgrading and tuning, then for sure you need not to use that cracked motor. If anything goign wrong, it will owns you, and ur life too maybe?

get a new or use one....they are cheap but it's money so i can't say anything.

sell

If You take A drive to NYC, I did the same Thing to a b20 Block, they did a great job. They charged me like 100.00

Any "good" TIG welder should be able to handle that kind of problem without much of an issue. As vteccivicsi92 said, about $100 should cover it.

if you are tight on money, then you can get ALUMALOY. I saw it on tv. Just cut that broken piece off, fill it with ALUMALOY and re-drill and tap the hole for bolt.
If, you have an extra 700, I would just go with a new block like NEXUS131 said.

just send it to a machine shop.........its should be okay after they clean it out and weld the chiped off piece together. While you have it out you should upgrade the internals. Pistons, rings, rod, etc.....

i dunno im just a jerk i guess. they were just to keep water and dust out but i didn't want them dangling all over the place. we pulled the motor from the junkyard cause it had a gsr tranny on it so i was not concerned with the motor really. i dunno how the motor mount holes got broken cause the car was not hit. must have had some serious ***** or somthin dunno.
