Default life of a tokico shock?

how long are they supposed to last under normal everyday driving conditions with ground controls? i've had them for about a year and a half and i think they're dead. i can't even raise my car up as high as before and the dampening is horrible now. i've read about the posts regarding what types of shocks to buy, so i won't ask that, but do you guys think the tokico (blue ones btw) shocks are out?

When I used to have mine with the ground control set up .my set lasted about 1 year ,were they were kind of firm.but they day that I swiched to the progress coil overs I was removing the rear set and I took off the red adjustment switch on top of the strut and it released all of the fluid out of the strut...!! and also my car only had a 1.5 inch drop..?? not that great of quality item in my opinion..

they're supposed to be guarenteed for life. if you sent in the registration card, you can get new ones. sometimes you don't even have to send the card in.

but i think mine are shot too after 2 years...

I've got a set of Illumina's that have been on my '86 CRX Si for about 6 years - I bought the whole suspension setup used. Who knows how long they were on the other car. The shocks are still fine.
I've also got a set of Illumina's on my '91 Civic Si. I bought them new in 1998. They are still fine.

Ditto, my illuminas are great. I drive on rough ohio roads and they're holding up strong. I've had them for about 4 years. They're only set on 3f 4r and they keep my car from bouncing.

well yea, the blues are kinda rough...when i had h&r race springs...the ride was stiff as hell, and it didn't even drop my car 2.5 inches...i think i'mma go with some agx adjustables....i don't have much money to invest on koni yellows

iv had the tokico blues on my accord for about 2 years along with GCs...they are starting to feel like thier life is coming to an end....

Ive had my illuminas for 7 years with eibach pro-kit springs. They are fine. Tokico makes many of Honda's shocks for them and they last a long, long time (under normal use)- unless you are using some spring rates that are too much for them- like the ones listed above.
