Hello all,
I am putting together a motor, first time I have ever done a car engine, and I have a competely disassembled oil pump. There is a spring, and what looks like a shell casing. Where and how does this install? I couldn't find any info in the service manual. Thanks.

Look under Engine Lubrication.

 

It mentions nothing on how to install the spring/cap. I THINK it goes into the bottom of the pump, but in which order? Thanks for the reply though.
