when i lock my doors the latch (black thing that says lock on it, when unlocked it shows a red line) on the driver's side only closes about half way

 

does your doors still lock dispite of this?

when i was changing my door panels, i had a similar problem. its probably that small covering covering the handel that is interfering witht he lock in closing all the way. too fix it, all i had to do was to take off the whole door panel so that i had access to the screws holding the handel to the door and i just unscrewed it and adjusted it. trial and error fixed it.
