Hey i just recently installed a type r wing on my car and put hte third brake light on, does anyone know any good ways to make it not rattle when im driving. thanks.

The wing or the brake light to not rattle? If it's the wing, make sure the nuts/bolt are tight. If it's the brake light, do the same.

 

well no its the third brake light that sits right behind the glass on the hatch. like the third brake lights that integras with no spoilers have. i need any ideas ot things any one has done to secure the third brake light and making it not rattle.

Were you saying you put a third brake light in the Window, or are you saying there's one in the wing? I've no wing and I don't have the third brake light in my car. I haven't had anyone say anything about it, Do you actually need a third brake light though(legally)?

 

its not on wing its on window , i think its illegal not to have a third brake light and anyway i live in cali i dont need another reason for a cop to pull me over.

 

Yes, it is illegal. All car after 1986 need to have a 3rd brake light. I also didn't have one on my GSR and was never bothered, BUT if someone ever rear ends you, they could possibly use it against you if you don't have one.

 

Yeah, maybe i might actually get around to putting it back on.
Pennsy doesn't have strict laws anyway, so it's not that bad.

yeah..but i dont want to have holes in my glass (i believe you need to drill a hole or two to install it?)..any other way to go about this without drilling through my rear windshield?

 

you dont need holes in teh glass it pops in this small hole in back of hatch behind teh glass problem is it rattles over bumps which is why im wondering what others have done to make it not rattle

 

bumb anyoneknow how to make third brake light stick to the hatch window ?

 

the article said something about Window adhesive or vinyl adhesive do you know what that is?

Double sided tape, the automotive double sided tape. If that fails, get the duct tape!

 

lol hah i trid that but i mean mounting that bad boy to the glass itself. any suggestions people?

use silicon or any gasket maker you have laying around. As long as you don't slam the hatch close all the time it will hold up fine. I speak from experience.
