Default i could hear the chain when i shift

Okay.

awhile back i had a 91 integra ls with 191k on it but the motor, tranny, and a lot of the stuff had about 42k on it. And i was racing tons of people while my friend recorded it and i could really notice that on the one video I could hear the chain or something when i could shift i mean my car sounded like a crouch rocket i shifted soo fast. I mean i really yanked the hell out of it everytime and i noticed that it make a jerk sound like it was jerkin a chain or something i mean it was loud. I could never notice that sound when i was racing but in those videos i could really hear it. Now what i want to do it I wanna kinda prevent that from happening in my hatch. Im droppin the zc and im gonna turbo temporarily until i can afford my gs-r engine and i want to know if there is anyway i could prevent that. i don't know if its cuz he had the mic zoom to where u could hear everything or what. But i dont notice that on all the other videos on the internet. And i also want to know if anyone else has every heard anything like that.

thanks.

Read what he said again, you will get it.

Anyway. STOP RACING. I hope you aren't street racing. Take it to a track. You are grinding your gears by shifting too fast. Keep doing it and you will need new gears/synchros very soon. Since you like to race, I would say stray away from B-series motors and from turbos. For that matter because you have a lead foot and like to race so much get a D15B1 with a 4 speed manual.

Ill be ******* nice and answer the question. Try changing the transmission fluid with GM synchromesh. Then try and see if it still grinds. If it still does, just get a new transmission.

Don't listen to them.
What you have to do is go to Autozone and ask for some chain shrink lube.
It will snug up your shifter chain and allow you to make mad fast shifts yO.

I actually do that a couple times its ******* awesome man but i dont redline or force it in. if u pop the shifter into nuetral and then hold it by the next gear itll slip in. I can go throughy all 5 gears, downshift and i can start out without a clutch. I just hold it against first and it gets me rolling and then it pops into gear and i can go. Its pretty cool, you guys should try it. dont know how good it is for the tranny or n e thing but i havent fucked anything up in the car im driving now ( plymouth breeze, opnly cuz my hatch is a project ) .

That way when your foot turns to lead as it always does, the car doesn't go anyway. And pushing it into gear ***** something up, i forgot what it was though.

This is common with your car. A simple way to stop that noise is to put the shifter in "R" for race when you start off.

The 'R' is for Rocket. Starts you off in VTEC. Sometimes, I'll be cruising in 5th and someone'll try to pass me. I just put it in rocket mode and pass them like none other.

That is so true. I use "Rocket Mode" when ever I'm racing "crouch" rockets.

So do you beat the "crouch" rockets when you use rocket mode?
That sounds wicked fast.

After reading this thread I decided to remove my shifter chain and just use the shift without clutch technique.
I was able to save a lot of weight and I have no trouble pulling on lady's in minivans.
