Default T1-S or RA1 in the rain??

I was wondering....would you be better off using tires like T1-S or R-compounds in the rain? I was told that the RA1 would not get warm enough (under wet conditions) to gain maximum traction and as well, their tread design is not as good as a T1-S. Is this correct?

Note - I am talking about using these tires on a lapping event and not for everyday use.

Unless it's just an absolute deluge the RA-1 is going to be stickier.

Warren, who will be running on some ghetto *** rain tires this season...

I have no complaints about my RA1s in the rain, I think they're great. I haven't driven the other one in the rain though so I can't make a comparison.
