Not tech related but still about the board...I didn't see a better forum so I just posted where I hang out.

I can understand the Google powered ad strips sprinkled around the site but I've noticed that its starting to appear in peoples signatures.
Is that board specific or are people doing actually using them as their sigs? I hope someone can tell me why they would do this? I personally find it annoying if anyone cares.

its very annoying, i personally think its very tacky and not needed considering this forum has tons of sponsers and google ads on the top and bottom of the pages...but the owners of the board must be making money off of this, that is probably the reasoning...

 

Yea, I just started noticing that a couple days ago too. They weren't too bad when they were at the bottom of the page, but right under the first post is pretty god damn annoying.

 

Ha! Perfect! I have one right after my post and I KNOW its not in my sig. So its after the first post?

 

Yea, they just wanna stick it out more I suppose. Maybe they upped the pay to the board owner.

 

trust me they are probably making alot .

a freind has them on his site, and he gets hardly any traffic, he made like 150 bucks in 1 month.
