Who cares. you can't drive it legally on the street anyway without lots of paperwork.. I thought Euro R would be imported from EUROPE.

Actually, if I remember correctly, the Euro R is only available in Japan, and the Type R is only available in Europe. But that's besides the point...

I agree with your sig... but I think that CUT is not the correct verb. It should be SHEARED or GRATED... much more accurate.

And you are probably right about the EURO and ATR. But I think that UKDM and australia has euroR, not just NIPPOn.. It is a RH/LH issue you know.

NO.....
Accord Euro-R is available anywhere outside of north america. To my knowledge, the Accord Type R /Saloon R stopped production in 02, coinciding with the new USDM accord (JDM accord "inspire", only available in a v6), and the international accord (acura TSX)

The current EURO-R is an Acura TSX w/ a k20-r instead of a k24...just get the JDM grill, and badges, and noone will no the difference

As we say in Calif, Hella.
Importation and Certification FAQ's Directory--All Vehicles

TLDR

The car does not fall under the 25 year exemption and there was never a CL chassis Accord here in the USA or a 'similar' vehicle. So you would need to import two, and have one crash tested to appease the DOT gods. http://icsw.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/elig120115.pdf
Engine may or may not be too much of an issue as it is an H22, where it can be updated to meet Fed EPA/CARB OBDII standards. So you would need to scavenge a '00 Lude for harness/sensors/emissions equipment to maintain smog regulations, and make it easier to repair in the future.
If the car is to be imported it would need to have its lights changed to meet Fed DOT requirements, lens angles(headlights), side marker colors, etc. This would have to be done prior to importation.

Now what you CAN do, is if you are NOT a US citizen, is if you are working here in the USA you can have your car with its foreign registration driven in the country for no more than a year. But after that year the car must be exported back out of the US. Although driving around with foreign plates may net you problems if a local cop not familiar with the law sees you often.

IMO if the car is RHD and not a common world wide model, and you don't have a parts stash or parts connection, forget it..
Finding RHD parts can be a nightmare for older, even popular, vehicles in RHD countries.
