Default How can you calculate WHP by trap speed/ET?

Is there a mathematical equation, or is it just average trap speed - WHP correlation?

For example, my street terror ( ) ran a blazing 14.8 @ a neck-snapping 94mph. last fall (7 psi, greddy SOHC kit, heavy EX coupe w/ blue box).

I had a shitty 2.36 60 ft.

How can I calculate, roughly how much power I was making?

I'm going back in the next month or two at 10 psi, with slicks (hopefully) and hoping for high 13's.

I know there is a correction on the net somewhere for it, but with your setup, you should know from people on here with the same motor/turbo what your whp is....If thats what your asking??

d16/greddy kit= 5-6 psi approx 160 whp
7-8 psi approx 180 whp
9-10 psi approx 200 whp
11-12 psi approx 220 whp
13-15 psi approx 230-250 whp
16+ psi....ummm dont even try it with that turbo...

I know what you mean. I would roughly guesstimate about 165-185whp at 7 psi, but it's tough to say just from other setups.

I'm trying to calculate it from a timeslip perspective.

Yeah, my hillbilly neighbor always used to get on this one site to do hp calculation, if I see him I will ask him what site it was...Did you try searching in lycos for horsepower calculator??
