Idle Jumping no CEL
OK, I did a search on this & found nothing that really sounded like my problem, some close though. I have an '89 Civic HB Si with a D16A6, this morning I started driving & noticed my idle was gettin' a bit higher (900-1200 rpm) as I drove, then it started loping, up to 1300-1500 rpm and droping back tp 900-1000 rpm. I shut it off, and restarted it and it was still idling 900-1000 rpm, but steady, then it started loping again. Its not throwing a code either. This is my 1st Honda & I know absolutely nothing about it yet, so any help will be appreciated greatly!
Sounds like a vacuum leak. Take the intake arm off and put ur hand up to the throttle body (careful it sucks hard, might hurt a lil). If the car turns off, then you have no vacuum leaks. If however, it doesn't stop then there might be a possible vacuum leak in one of your hoses.
