4th gen power locks **security breach bitches**
you guys need to try this on your 4th gens and see if it opens....on mine and a few other preludes i know if you put any key in the passenger door and turn just a little to the unlock direction (counterclockwise) the power locks open the both doors....i even tried it with a house key.....
let me know on this one, i hope its not just mine....but dont come breaking into my car now.....

Hmm reminds me of older domestic cars. I am going to try it out.

i think it might be worth us finding how to shut the power locks off from that keyhole.....
i will see how hard it looks and dependently i might make a writeup....
ill explain more specifically on what im gonna do, the other sentence was kinda vague....
im gonna try to find out how to make the power locks still work, but so they dont actuate when you put a key in the passenger door, the key will still open the door, but you will have to have the right key and go all the way in to open the lock....
ill let you guys know....

hmm i never tried this but i have setup my power door locks on a relay connected to the curtousey light around the ignition key. so when ever the courtesy light has power it latches the relay giving my power door looks power. so only work while the door is open, or for a couple seconds after the door has been opened then closed. works for me
I am not sure if it's the same on imports. But I noticed on older domestics, if you leave the key slot like this "/" and not like this "|" after locking/unlocking the door, you can use any key to turn it and unlock the door.
Maybe that is the case, I need to try it out.

We need to see what models have this flaw.

i disabled my power door locks because they make a tool thats like a slip jim that they wedge the top of the door and then slide it in and pop up the power door lock... it takes litteraly 6 seconds to break in

yeah this is why i disabled my power door looks , except for when the courtesy light is on

someone should pop the door handle out (if that's where the cylinder is located) and check to see if the contacts can't be moved some. Maybe over time they "drift" so the cylinder doesn't have to turn as far....
Damn, I'll have to try that next time I see my baby! But I did lock my keys in the car one time and I tried a different key in either door and it didn't work!
Oh well, I guess if someone really wants your car, that person will ultimately get it...this just makes it easier!
