Hi im new to HT but have been looking at it off and on for a while,

anyway i just bought this 90 integra and am doing some basic stuff to it tune up etc..

i bought a cap and rotor for it at auto parts store and am going to install it but a friend of mine told me if i move the cap or something it will alter my timing? anyone know a site with a howto? or could any just post up the proper method of doing this?

Your friend is mistaken. Turning the entire distributor itself will alter the timing, but that's entirely separate from the cap and rotor. Just replace the cap and rotor and don't worry about the timing.
