Default removing trim peices/doorhandles

ive been working on un-chroming all my trim on my 85 accord and decided to finally try to finish it. im re-unchroming the trim around the front windsheild and doing the trim under the side windows for the first time and i would like to remove all of it (without breaking it) as opposed to tapeing it off. i did a great job taping the first time, but im uncertain if i could do it again.
anyways, just in case there is any question as to the exact parts im doing i took a pic. the trim the red arrows is pointing at is what i want to remove.

on a side note, i want to do the same with my door handles but cant seem to figure out how to get them off. any help on either project would be greatly appreciated.the little rods are what im havin a problem with on the handles. they are threaded and i cant figure any way to unscrew them since the rod has a bend in it.

WHat will you use to replace the trim? Or do you like having loose and leaking windows?

did that too. blacked out the chrome door trims and blacked out my door handles and side molding. now im thinking of blacking out my license plate garnish

anyway i just did a great job of masking and sanding. didnt want to risk breaking the door trims

im not gunna do anything to replace it, just gunna repaint it.

i just went ahead and taped it all off and the handles should be done tomorow. ive already got all the front trim, back trim, and rear window trim done just gotta do the front and side window trim and the antanna(sp?). i did most of it once but decided i wanted gloss instead of semigloss before i finished and now im finishing/redoing it all. looks way better with the gloss, not to mention i got a really good paint.

you sure you want it glossy? blacking it out is supposed to subdue the chrome so flat black is the way. but its really up to you.

for the chrome i was advised to put a primer first so that it wouldnt chip off easily. as for me i was too lazy to 1st use primer. just sprayed 3 coats of black
