is it a bad idea to put 195/50/15's on some 15x7 rota gt3's? id be stretching them. the 205's i was gonna get are on back order. and i dont have time to wait. o yea. they are falken ziex or how ever u spell it. so is it a bad idea? or is it ok?

ill be driving to vegas on em. and its a daily driver. but i usually dont drive too far!

 

if you look at the vwvortex.com forums, especially the a2 ones, they REALLY stretch tires, so i'm sure it'll be fine to stretch them a little.

 

Manufacturers normally designate a range of rim widths for their tires, and that size will usually fit on any width of wheel between 5-1/2 and 7 inches. It oughtta be fine.

 

Ive got 165's on a 7" slipstream on the girlfriends car..

pink with polished lip - but thats another story P

Ive seen 165's on a 7.5" rim, you can really stretch tyres if need be..

 

btw 195's on a 7" isnt stretching at all.

 

I stretch tires on my ae86. 185/60/14 on a 7" wide rim looks like low profiles!!
