Default Need an Opinion....

What do you guys think of the 2002-2004 Honda VFR 800 Interceptor. I have seen some really done up nice. How is there Reliability, Handling, and Power? They are really starting to grow on me. This is one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1
Thanks

if i had the money, i'd totally get one though it wouldn't be at the top of my list.
but with the bike you posted... i think there's a reason why there's no bids. it's ugly. take those decals off and maybe put the stock cans back on

Its comfortable enough to do a lot of commuting on and its sporty enough to be a lot of fun in the twisites.

The VFR in general is one of the most versatile bikes on the market. Honda reliability, comfort enough for touring, and until a few years ago a VFR wasn't far off from 600 SS machines.

"Bottle Fed" has one for sale, but it's a 95. I am torn about selling my brand-new SV and buying it; that should tell you something. Since you're in MD, maybe you should check it out.

I like the older styles (back when the bike was a 750) better than the new ones.

if only the vfr wasn't so porky... but i guess that helps make it more stable for touring?
any idea how much the more recent 750s weigh?

They're really not porky, they're just heavier than a sportbike.

Well I have read that in the twisties if you lay it low the exhausat pipes and the center stand will hit and it weighs like 500lbs. But I really like its style, 750cc, dual under seat exhaust, but I really don't care for the front to much. Anyone have one that can comment about the weight and performance.

How low do you plan to get it?

I guess most bikes will scrape something if you get them low enough.
