i filled the mounts on my 93 civic w/ windshield weld urethane stuff.
seemed to work well, no wheel hop at all.

There is a company making stock mounts in billet for the crx, it was a while ago though, not too much interest. Dotn know if there still making them. I think i saw them on ebay a while back too.

I am using the Energy bushings for the motor mounts much stiffer and much less movement under full throttle on the motor. They were inserts but they were also pretty beefy. I think they ran me like 22 bucks plus 4 bucks to ship.

so you just push the bushings into the mounts? how do they work? they sound like a great idea and a quick improvement for wheel hop.

looking on ebay, i would go w/ the inserts instead of the windshield glue.
it took about a tube of glue ($8 each) for each mount

The jimfab mounts are only $74 shipped for the actual front and rear mounts

Those are b series swap mounts not d series mounts.

I would go with inserts over the windshield glue but that is just my opinion.

If you do the mount inserts or if you use this window weld stuff, can you run only 3 mounts and leave out the front tranny mount that connects to the front cross-member?

I'd still run all four mounts even with the inserts.

I have the Energy Suspension one's in my rex and I love them.

Mugen makes replacement OEM style mounts with stiffer rubber

Prothane and Energy Suspension make inserts

JimFab and the like make replacement urethane mounts

and 3M makes Windo Weld

http://www.homemadeturbo.com/t...ounts/

this is cheap and easy
http://importnut.net/motormount.htm

if u want to minimize vibration while still getting a performance gain then get the mugen and [only] use the poly in the front mount

i think what he means is he want's an aftermarket crossmember.

i think it would be ok, if every other mount is solid. but if just the rear one is and you don't have a front one, the engine could **** angled to a side under acceleration.

Well I'm planning on using a full race cross memeber or something like it, BUT, yes If I had 3 aftermarket poly mounts, could i just run those, and then leave out the front tranny mount like the b series guys do with hasport kits.

I dont think jimfab is making mounts for the ef any more. Which sucks cause I really wanted one of his rear mounts.
