i have a b16a in my DA9 and i am gettin ready to rebuild it and i was wandering how much i am lookin at for the machine shop work on the block and head. and if i can bore it out to 81.50 mm and be safe with a turbo. also what should i get done at the machine shop other than bore out the cylinders, hone and glaze, deck the block, and tank the block and head

 

look around $150 to rebuild the head, look at around $200 for basic block work. as far as the block goes, it just depends on what needs to be done. add for hot tank; that's just for pretties. may need other stuff like line honing mains, blah blah blah.

 

only 81.50 for turbo set up...

You're lookin at 72.50 or so an hour (at least thats my shops labor rate) for work on the engine, i.e. block/head. Depends on what all they need to do, the more detailed and complex the more dough u gotta throw.
