I was assuming since this swap is common with these years of car that this is the place to post this question.

My friend had his ZC sitting and waiting for parts etc and some way or another the valve cover got put with things that were scrapped. The company that took the scraps deny that it was in there and really no proof but the problem is the zc still needs a valve cover and I have no clue where to find one. I thought the D16A1 valve cover would work but was told it wasn't, if that is true or not I am not sure. Someone please help me try to help my friend out

Nope, no USDM valve cover will fit the ZC. Check ebay for any ZC/D16a8/D16a9/Rover valve covers. Make sure you know what a ZC valve cover looks like because people will try to sell you the D16a1[USDM integra] Valve cover. The mounting points for the cover are different. - Darrell

 

yea thats what we were running into, no luck on ebay yet.

 

there was one on ebay last week.

you could try calling some engine importers and see if they happen to have an extra valve cover. when i picked up my engine, they had tons of stock valve covers, headers, brackets, mounts, torque converters, etc.

The USDM D16A1 valve covers will fit the early ZC's (bolts near spark plugs) but not the 88+ JDM Civic/CRX ZC's (bolts on edge). Which ZC do you have?

 

It isn't mine so I am not 100% sure I know it was a black top dohc zc.
