Do some research, there's many different opinions on how to hook it up....especially with a boosted car.

I would if I had a turbo, but I don't have a turbo

Proper Positive Crankcase Ventilation can be problematic on a turbo engine. What I'm sure you are finding in the old threads is that no one can seem to agree on what the best solution is. What I would recommend doing is taking a look at how manufacturers set up PCV on factory turbo cars, and imitating that.

try a manufacturer's website, I know STR has instructions for their products on their site, I dunno if maybe greddy has one or OBX maybe, some company that makes catch cans should have online instructions, if not, try hpoa.org.

Maybe some pics will help. It's in an accord, but with an H22A so it will be the same. Sorry, you have to piece together the 2 pics to see how it's routed.

if you think a turbo catch can and a N/A catch can setup is the same, you have never worked on a car....... turbo car creates intake boost...

and by the way those diagrams are wrong.

The picture with the red valve cover is the correct way to hook up a catch can on a N/A motor.

That won't relieve positive crankcase pressure on a turbo engine.

You guys are missing the point. This isn't about how to hook up a catch can so much as it is about running positive crankcase ventilation properly on a turbo engine.

When I was boosted I had an elbow (not the pcv) coming out of the valve cover with the hose going to the catch can, then the hose leaving the catch can I had hook into the pipe just after the air filter but before the compressor wheel. That way the movement of air going past the connection (as it's pulled into the compressor helps pull the air out of the catch can).

If you have it hooked up the way people showed in the diagrams (which work for NA) on a boosted set up it's just going to back things up, maybe casue damage, as the boost pressure prevents the PCV system from functioning properly.

Here's a pic from back in the day when I had a Drag kit, before going custom, and now back to NA. You can see the red hoses going from the valve cover to the catch can (near the battery) the see the hose go underneath the radiator hose to where I tapped it in after the air filter.

Wrong, I don't think so. That is from ( endyn )http://www.theoldone.com

Yes you could hook it up numerous ways

In the diagram I posted, the first drawing is a system with out a catch can, the second is one installed with a catch can.

Was that towards me ? I'm not gonna get into the whole pcv thing because its been covered, but in my pic the catch can is hooked directly into the block where the crankcase pressure is releived into. Then its filterd threw the catch can. The one pic with the red vave cover is hooked up to the valve cover not the block. There are about 50 to 100 topics covering this and some go in very deep.
