a friend of mine thinks he got ripped off by this guy, never returns his calls or emails...i know a few of you on this board are from that area...georgheinz says he builds engines so any of you heard of him

 

where does he builds engines? out of his garage?

 

he said he used to work for a couple shops in that area...my friend said one was upgraded engineering or automotive or something like that, he also said that this georgheinz was going to be opening his own shop

 

do you pronounce his name like "gearhind" cause if so...i saw an ad on here for a custom turbo setup for $1400 used...i talked to this guy on honda-tech "b16aef9" and he said he was trying to sell it for his boss "gearhind"...well i tried several times to get a hold of "gearhind" but he never picked up his phone...

b16aef9 told me he was opening a new shop and was real busy, but this guy kept makin' up excuses for his boss or whatever...he kept tellin' me that "gearhind" would call, but he never did, i tried callin' him several times but his answer machine came on everytime

all i know is this "b16aef9" guy told me that "gearhind" lived in rosemead and was opening his shop

i'm not sayin' anything bad, but "b16aef9" told me several times that guy would call and i can come down to check the tubo out, but i never got that call, so i just gave up....the deal sounded too good to be true anyways, if it was in perfect condition....kinda sounds scandelous

yes we are talking about the same person...i guess i will just tell my friend he got scammed...i too tried to call his phone #s and he never picked up and my friend said as well that he talked to adam brown....now adam brown and b16ae9 are the same person as the email is the same....dont know what to make of all of this, but add this guy to the scammer list,btw were these the phone numbers he used

yeah the first number i got which is "gearhind"

and the second number is 1-254-690-3698 which adam called me from...i guess the reason the deal never went through with me was because i lived in cali and wanted to go look at the turbo....where is your friend from? did he ship the money?

common.. the motor was shipped out less than a week ago.. you didnt get scammed.. it was sent. you will get it.. I am working with you right.. please dont spread the scamm word till you actualy get Fuc$ed K... I will call you tonight..

 

i didnt say i got scammed yet, just think things are sketchy...you can see my point, never answers the cell, never at home, doesnt return calls...if i get it great, if i dont, i have his home address and mom's home phone number...but i agree like i told you on the phone, i will wait a few days...btw, i posted in your defense for your ad...we had this conversation on the phone and i told you that in no way do i hold you responsible for this...i just dont want you to start doing business with a dishonest person

 

Yup good ole Upgrade Engineering.. Works with Tim Haskell or something and Adam some guy from texas... took them 8 weeks to send my motor after threating them with a law suit.. Then the motor i received was poo poo.. i have pics if your interested.. but it basically came strapped on its side on a busted up pallet leaking oil.. althought the dowel pins were drilled it came with no work done no vtec plug no steel braided lines nothing wrong rod bolts and timing belt cracked valve cover" what i got was a b20 block with a b16 head bolted to it" . i basically had to take the parts and spend another 500 or so to make it right.." the only reason i accepted shipment was i was afraid to send it back and end up with nothing"
I would Never buy anyhting not even an oilfilter from Georgeheinz, Adam or tim or anyone that has anything to do with "upgrade engineering".

again i have pictures and reports to back my claims.. the lawyers recommended i gather that info..
also filed a complaintwith ifcca and the small business administration..

good luck to you you may get your motor .. but if i were you id look it over with a fine tooth comb

Used some nasty poo poo on the head gasket to glue it together? probably cause it failed leak test

Main seal leak? mand i was so disgutsted i almost puked!

Even Yellow freight took pics of the pallet it came on.. dont be deceived by the shrinkwrap it was tied around the motor along with that wire you see

When i called gearhind from the shipping company and said WTF? he hung up on me..
heres what it looks like now thanks to a LOT of hard work and money

well I talked to tim.. and gearhind about it... gearhind said yes he did forget to put the oil line in but everything was tapped.. and he asked if you wanted him to send it and you said no.. now on the shipping.. that is a shipping companys fault.. no company will let you ship something that is leaking and or broken.. talk to any company.. but all the engines are warrentied.. I know you said that you didnt want to waight and I can feel for you on that but well if I was you I would get the reciepts and then call tim and see what he can do.. ? did you do that? seperate point.. does look good now.. I know you said you put more money in.. just saying it looks good.. ADAM

 

Man...that sucks to get shafted with an engine like that, but good work on the restoration. His name caught my eye and it just so happens that I went to High School with this Georgheinz Rios a few years ago...didn't really know him, but I know his sister-Irmgard. hahaha...anyways, scammers and/or people who sell bullpoo poo like that engine pictured, need to drown in their own fluids.
