The driver side door on my 00 gsr sometimes doesn't lock n I was just wonderin whats wrong n how to fix it.
When I push the thing to lock all the doors of the car, all doors will lock but sometimes the driver side door wont lock. and it wont lock if I push the door lock either instead of the power lock switch. but it will lock if I close the door and stick my key in and turn it.
this only happens sometimes but I just want to know whats wrong n want it fixed.

pull off the door panel their are metal rods that run from the door lock by the handle to the the actual lock in the door-jam. sometimes they will pop out of the clips the go through and it causes them to bind.

It is a safety feature to keep you from locking your keys in the car.
You either need to be inside with the door closed or outside with the door closed(keys in hand preferable). The door handle trick is a bypass.
