but a stuck throttle body at the same time that his brakes stop working? i dont think so. people have to learn to take responsibility for their actions. what was the car in the shop for?
until a mechanic looks at his car and figures out the reason and if the auto shop is responsible, it's his ecstatic and negligent driving after getting his car back that caused this.

this just happen around me, a lady picked up her civic from the dealer after getting some work done on the engnine, she was going to make a right turn and half way in the turn her throttle stuck and she ran into a building acrossed from the dealer. I've heard the shop is resposible and their picking up the bill. this is what i heard from people that work at the shop, not sure how true it is, i saw the car in the building.
people asume "oh the car lost crontol he/she should of done this and that"
must of you guys never had something like this happen. in the state of a panic you lose train of thought. if you claim you never paniced, your FULL of ****. its a reaction.

panic is a choice. i lost control of my car around a curve on a wet highway with a semi behind me, and i didn't panic. my back end swung out to the right, so i used my noggin and turned my wheel into the slide, like you're supposed to and i got control again.
people get put in a stressful situation and can choose either to handle it, or be overwhelmed and freak out.
look at it this way. if you get loaded down with a shitload of work, you can either sit there and be like, omg, how am i gonna get all this work done, boo hoo, or you can get your **** together and get cracking.

Its called "highly unlikely" actually.
If your throttle suddelny goes full on you and your breaks rebel against you, not allowing you control your rapidly increasing velocity, then it is not a coincidende. Either your mechanic is a hit-man hired by by your wife, or your trying to get out of a situation that you are at fault. I have heard of many people doing this. People crash their cars, either on purpose or stupidity, and try yo find someone else at fault. If the mechanic is convicted, then the driver ultimately makes out with a large lump sum of money and a new car. Usually, i find better excuses for crashing your car_ like, "he never put the cotter pin into my tie-rod end", or " the lug nuts were never tightened." I dont think that, "oh, he rigged my throttle up for devestation, and cut my brake lines." Wether that story will fly is up to a real good lawyer.
As for "close calls", and desperate situations while driveing, they do happen and a good driver is equiped with the knowledge of what to do. Driving should not be reputable by instinct, only habit. A persons ability to control their car comes from practice; practice developes habit. A good driver is not someone who stops at stop signs and uses hi/her blinker, a good driver is someone who can control their car to the extent where it limits the danger of driving.

is it no possible he could of been working around the throttle cable? the cable does travel under the master cyclinder, he could of pulled something off, i mean **** i had some buttom end work done at a honda dealer and they forgot to tigthen my ac compressor mount and it fell off while driving LOL, nothing bad happen but its easy to forget ****.
I used to have a POS Cavalier and the throttle cable got stuck. For a split second I did panic and not react how I should have but I quickly got it together and turned off the car. Luckily I wasn't approaching any other cars at the time because the same thing could have easily happened to me.
Before people say he should done this or that, think about this, do you always know the right answer for everything right off the bat? Probably not. Maybe if there wasn't a car in front of him and he had one more tenth of a second to think he might have reacted fine.

one time i was gettin a lug stud changed, got in the car and was backing out the shops driveway. i pushed the brakes and it flew to the floor. i quickly pulled up the e-brake before going into oncoming traffic. the jackasses didnt pump the brakes.
He paniced, if he was using his head he woulda just poped it into neutral and turned off the car + ebrake "IF" his brakes did fail at the same time as the throttle body got stuck open...
I kicked my pedal once because my car was running choppy and it got stuck in the floor mat at WOT, i put in nuetral and pulled over letting it bounce the rev limiter ha ha. I also this problem in my 91 Suzuki RM80, i had it WOT in 3rd gear going up a hill that you had to turn right halfway to the top, or else you would hit some huge ditches. I had to lay it down at like 35, and it was still revving like crazy on its side. But those bikes are known for that. That sucks dude and IT DOES HAPPEN

i dont know why you're defending him. the odds of having both throttle cable stuck and brake system go out is so low that it'll never happen in any car's life time. and why would a mechanic work around the throttle cable and somehow "stick" it?
his driving was negligent. unless he can get someone to prove it, it's his fault. no mechanic would do that out of pure stupidity. also why would he slam his side into the car in front of him and cause his airbags to pop? airbags only pop in a head-on collision. his story is full of oddities and weird points. that and he hasn't responded in a long time. i call bs.

Some people just look for attention in the wrong places.
