Default OMNIPOWER vs. KYB AGX's/GC/NEUSPEED

like the topic says...three setups, 2 about the same price, 1 significantly cheaper
i need to figure it out quick. pretty much torn among them , so i need second opinions...

Use: mostly street/mountains and the occasional buttonwillow

Other Mods: 22mm ITR sway, ES Sway bar bushings, Wicked tuning LCA's, Front GSR Sway Bar, A-spec Racing Subframe Reinforcement, and the usual bars here and there

-Omnipower full coilovers (dont know which rates to get yet. suggestions?) ($450-$600)
Pros: Height Adjustable, comes with camber kit, Top hat included
Cons: Can't adjust dampening

-KYB AGX's with GC's with OTS rates ($540-$600)
Pros: Height adjustable, Adjustable dampening, custom spring rates later on +$140
Cons: Gotta use the gay stock top hat, shock travel

-KYB AGX's with Neuspeed Race around 3xx/4xx forgot ($370-$420)
Pros: Cost, Adjustable dampening
Cons: Height not adjustable (2.25" drop is a TAD too low for my taste on an EG)

I don't think you'll like pillow ***** on the street. Metal on metal contact parts will wear fast.

There's nothing gay about the stock top hats, they work fine. Plus if you want to adjust the damping...

koni+gc will rock omnipower. the valving is alot differant and, from what i have seen, more aggressive. for street purposes, omni is fine. but if your racing and every 10th counts, koni would be the way to go

from what i hear, its worth the extra bread.... i have a set of agx's and a set of skunk2 coilovers and im lookin for more... its not good enough in my mind.. but at the time i bought the agx's.. i didnt know anything about the koni yellows... im thinkin about switchin to the koni's and ground controls...

but then again, some would argue that i should run a basic tein set up.. so who knows?

I believe there's still a thread in the Supporter's Forums or Sponsor's Forums or whatever it is under Wheels/Tires/Suspension for Koni Yellows $495 shipped. That plus the springs is just slightly higher than the $600. If you're going to spend the money, is it really worth it to skimp now instead of saving for another month and getting something much better? That's what I did and now I regret it. Had the yellows & sold them with the old car. Got AGX on the new car cause I didn't want to wait and I absolutely hate them. Also, if you go with GC you just have to order from them to get the custom rates. No additional charge if you get them when you order and they can help you decide what rates would work best for you.

whats up all. I have the sport Omni type-r on my road race Ef and i have the same on my daily driven Integra that i have turned into a weekend road racer, and i must say that Omni has totally out done himself with a great product. The ride is comfortable and the car moves and feels alot better in the corners and coming off the straights, more than ever. My race car competes with any other and i thank omni for all the hard work. Hopefully Scca will one day let resevoir damper systems in and Omni will make a set for me!!

What SCCA class do you run in? What setup did you run before the Omnis?
