as another measure of security, iv been thinking about relocating the battery to the rear, and also relocating the hood pop cable.
everyone knows where they are now so im tryin to just get another simple mod to prolong the cars life expecteny out in public
Facts on the relocations i need to know:
will the battery relocation change the weight distribution any noticable amount- even for racing? for the good or bad?
Is the only other way to run the cable for the hood pop where it would be for the JDM teg, or is there another option.
also, if these are recommended, where can i buy the supplies that i need? Home depot ok for wire, or what is recommended by those who have done this before?
thanks to all who give insight

i was fighting with my hood cable today. i donno how it goes for the jdm teg though. remove the kick panel by the hood release, then the lever and detatch the cable from that. on the other end, you'll need to take off the latch to detach it, then a few clips and stuff. feed it back in through the firewall just below the brake fluid reservoir. helps to have someone on the other end to fish the cable out so it doesn't get stuck under your dash. reattach, then reuse the clips from before to secure it inside the engine bay, and then back into your latch.
should take <1 hr. no new parts req'd. tools.. a 12mm, a flathead screwdriver (for the interior clips), and needlenose pliers.

Just as an guide, here is an article on relocating your hood. Takes about 20 min

Relocating the battery will have a slight affect on your weight distribution. I am not sure what your trunk setup is, but I am planning on moving mine to the very back, left corner (if facing the front of the car) to help in getting a good ratio of weight distribution. I hope this helps.

If you move the batter make sure you get a battery re location kit.
http://www.summitracing.com has there own version or you can get some really nice and expensive thing. This kit comes with wire and all the connectors.
