400F/500R or 450F/550R Spring Rates?
Vehicle:
DC2 Integra.
24mm Front Swaybar
22mm Rear Swaybar
OTS Koni Yellows
Are OTS Koni Yellows able to dampen 450F/550R GC Eibach ERS sprins?
Ride quality etc, I have no concern with.
It they are able to dampen those rates, then I'll go with the higher rates.
My goal is to reduce bodyroll and have a neutral handling car. The Koni Yellows are paired up with H&R Sports right now.
Overall would the 450F/550R spring rates handle better than 400F/500R?

IMO the car will still be prone to understeer, now this might not be 100% true but from my experance the 100lbs difference isn't great enough WITHOUT a front sway bar, so with the front sway bar it will be even more so prone to understeer. maybe try 400 550.
again this is just IMO take it for whats it worth, for your setup the 100lbs difference might work fine for mine it didn't

Fair enough. I guess I can always experiement.
My H&R Sports are 276F and 276R lb springs and I haven't had much problems dialing it out to rotate with tire pressure and rebound adjustments.

Just curious.. Why the big front bar?
I run 350/400 on my ITR (on OE sways.) The 50lb diff is fairly neutral, w/a touch of understeer @the limit. However it is also prone to lift-throttle oversteer.
I think 100lbs would be a suitable place to start. You can always pick up new rates for cheap.
General consensous is Koni OTS can reasonably handle ~500lb rates. I have heard of others running higher rates, but I'd assume ride quality would be very rough.

My old car handled better with a bigger rear sway bar and the stock front sway bar. Front gripped better with stock than with an aftermarket front sway.
I have run 550 and even 600 on OTS konis without any damping issues. They may wear out faster, but I plan to rebuild them anyway so that's not a concern for me. I can't say which you should use in the DC2, only that the Konis will do well with either 500 or 550 at least based on my experience. I wouldn't go higher without a rebuild, and I think your performance in the 550 range would be improved with a rebuild anyway.

I had a feeling you were going to say that. I had no idea the front bar was the same as the ITR.

travis, you only drive about 1000 miles a YEAR with your car....(and on the smoothest surfaces possible) everyone else should take that into consideration.
400-500 lbs springs are just not trivial for use on the street and for even high quality dampers like konis.
if given the choice, i would go with the lower spring rates.

I guess I should put that disclaimer somewhere when I post out of the RR/AX forum. Still, the question of "what rates can OTS Konis handle" has never been put to bed, so that's about all I can offer you.

I ran 450fr/550r on my sol vtec (what, like 100lbs. lighter than the dc2?) with the OTS Yellows with no issue for 1.5 years or so. Actually, my setup was the exact same with the front & rear bars. Car was very neutral and I was able to dial in a little more oversteer or understeer with the yellows. I actually thouhgt it was fairly comfortable withe the yellows set just above midway. Granted, my daily driver now is a stripped & roll-barred 1800lb. CRX with no AC, radio, or anything else....
