88 and 90 crx si clutch?

Default 88 and 90 crx si clutch?

ok i just baught a 88 crx si and i need to put a tranny in it and it has new clutch but my buddys saying ill have to change flywheel and clutch to a 90 because they tranny i got is for a 90. will the clutch and flywheel in the 88 work with the 90 tranny? i dont see y it wouldnt. but please let me know cause im changin this weekend

Nope, they are different. The 88 is smaller I believe, check up the part #s on the flywheels for both years. Your best bet is to match the fly/clutch/pp/to bearing ect. to the tranny year. 88 to 88, 89 to 89, and 90-91 to 90-91. - Darrell

88 clutch has 21 splines - 90 transmission has 20 spline input shaft
