Default New Clutch Advantage?

Okay I know clutches get old and need to be replaced. Now when replacing the clutch will the car get more horsepower when installing a stage 2 or stage 3 clutch? I was wondering if the horsepower will be increased at the flywheel which in turn would make the horsepower at the wheels even that much greater. I am highly uneducated at why people put in more powerful clutches.
Thanx for helping me understand, Civilized

clutches dont make horsepower. their job is to keep your drive train connected . the differences in "stages" is basicy the pressure in which it grabs. this is varried by design (3,4,6 puck etc). If you run your motor boosted (you then need a higher stage clutch otherwise its going to slip) or you just like instant engagement, get a higher stage clutch. for daily driving on a relitivly stock car you could go the oem replacement route and save some $$.

so you've noticed you can fether your stock clutch a lot. with a high stage clutch you really cant do that b/c it engages almost imeaditly.
hope that answers something (i should go back yo bed)
