Default 8k/6k, switching setups?

Right now I have Skunk2 coilovers 8k/6k rates with KYB GR2's. I like how they handle but they are too bouncy. I was wondering if I switched to a full body coilover setup with the same rate will the ride not be so bouncy. I'm guessing that the Skunk2's are so bouncy because they spring is so short and there is no preload.

Just trying to figure out if the ride difference is worth the money. Also the car is daily driven if your wondering. Thanks guys.

it's more likely that your shocks can't handle those rates (and/or they are blown). I'd go with some KYB AGX or Koni shocks

It depends on what you mean by bouncy. If the springs oscillate up and down after a bump like I consider bouncy it means your dampers are not controlling the spring (either because the rate is too high or because they never could to begin with). The only way to fix that is to use a lower rate spring or replace the dampers with something that can control them (and this should be the only option if it turns out your dampers are damaged). However, if by bouncy you mean stiff, you'll only fix that with lowering the spring rates (unless you've got 17s or 18s on really thin tires, then you have another option).

I know my shocks can't handle the rates. And I know the difference in stiff and bouncy. I was thinking that a longer spring and preload will keep the bouncyness down, like the Omnis. Since the Skunk2 springs are so short and there is no preload, the car actually comes off the spring and falls on it causing it to bounce.

I highly doubt that unless you are completely unloading the cars weight (i.e. you're jumping. I'm thinking it's your shocks or you aer hitting the bump stops.
