Default Help on CEL code #9

i need help to figure out what the hell is wrong with my car. my car starts up for a minute and just dies and when i try starting it again, it wont start. i thought it was the distributor but it wasnt, bought me a brand new one in autozone. i pulled the check engine light and i got a code #9, which is no1 cylinder postion, and it says to check the CYL sensor. that sensor is on the distributor, remember now i just changed da distributor. aite if i wait for another 10 minutes i can start up the car but it just dies again after idleing for a minute. any body know wth is wrong with my car? thanks in advance

my best guess would be to check the connector on the engine harness, look for anything abnormal. also check wire harness for visible damage, etc. also, even though the dizzy is new have you tried testing the the sensors with an voltmeter?

the ecu's putting out the engine codes are very picky when it comes to any kind of fault even if it's a loose wire they will get pissed and start kicking on the check engine light. I have a code 8 right now for the TDC Sensor... Good luck with all the distributor codes those are horrible to diagnose lol... and all the sensors on the distributor aren't sold as seperate parts either which is really gay.
