Default Apexi Super VTEC AFC-2

A'PEX introduces the first digital fuel computer that combines fuel computer functions with a VTEC engagement controller.

"The Apexi V-AFC features a user-definable, eight-point, adjustable fuel curve that can be set in 500 RPM increments.

The range of fuel adjustment is +/- 50% at each of the user-defined setting points. The Fuel Adjustment function considers wide/narrow throttle and low/high camshaft settings, from which four different fuel maps are created (widelow, wide-high, narrow-low, narrow-high).

The integrated VTEC Controller adjusts the point at which the engine switches from the Lo to Hi cam during acceleration, as well as when the engine switches from the Hi to Lo cam during deceleration. "

What do you guys think? Anyone have one with an dc5 or ep3?

how much does it cost, because if it's anywhere near 6 bills get hondata, but if it were like 3 bills then it'd be a pretty good alternative.

I understand what you're saying aboh6leens, but 250 is a world of difference from better part of a GRAND! I know that K-PRO is the ****, but if you don't have that much but want more power then it would be good, plus when you've saved up enough for k-pro you can sell the v-afc2 for about 150 and come out on top. That way you can pacify yourself with the afc2 and get some practice with messing with it and then when you get k-pro you won't be in the dark so much!

I also see what you are saying but then you are out 100 bucks and might have made you take longer to buy a superior kpro. Function over fashion

Hmmm... I kinda want it lol. We'll wait till summer to see how money comes in and decide if I can wait for kpro.

you do not have to have major mods. You dont have to have any mods but it might not help you if you get the vafc or kpro then.

but if you have some mods like intake, rh, and exhuast you can tune it pretty good i have heard. Like some of the people with those mods and tuned with a kpro have gotten i think around mid 13's

No major mods but of corse they will help. YOu'll see more from your $1k dollar puchase. But, if you have the money, get the k-pro first, that way when you mod your car, you'll feel like you're getting the most out of each thing.

be honest though, if you could make your car faster now and make it even better later doesn't it sound good? So what if you're out a hundred, you just got kpro! YOu won't even care. YOu got to take care of the kpro fever for a little and then really get it!

I guess but personally i would just save my money for the better one. How about this, do whatever makes you happy!

The only thing that is better about the vafc is that it looks better??? hahaha it's got a nice looking display but thats about it.

I have a base... but ive raced modded type ses and only lost by like a car and a half so I'm not far behind.

I gotta do the type s head swap tho, cause toda cams are my hope for later on as well.

Intake I just got an ebay one for like 50 bucks... hasn't given me any problems yet. A filter on a stick.

Header, I went with DC sports ceramic header... I wish I got a race header.
