Default LSVTEC & Main Girdle?

I'm running an LSVTEC, and I'm debating wether or not to install a main girdle while I'm swapping out oil pan gasket. Here is my setup. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1091576
My crank is balanced, and I'm using ARP rod bolts.. I'm thinking the girdle would be a nice addition, and I might as well do it while I have the oil pan off. Now, for those of you with expierence, is it worth it? Keep in mind my car has a spark cutoff at 8100, and I usually shift around 7900... I'm thinking the added safety is a good idea though.

This is the girdle i'm looking into getting.

you cannot simply bolt this on you must have your mains align honed to be sure that your main cap bores do not go out of round. As long as your bottom end is balanced and your are running arp rod bolts you should be ok for 7900 just my 2cents

I talked to the guy at AZ Race & Machine, he said the only things I need are GSR main bolts, and a GSR pickup... and it bolts right in.

Any truth to this statement?

I don't really think they are worth the cost and trouble. Having a well balanced crank is good, but not recommended since they are so well balanced from the factory to begin with. You should replace your LS rod bolts with ARP rod bolts and nuts. The LS bolts are the biggest weak point of the whole LS rotating assembly. Change those out to prevent engine failure from bolt stretch and you should be set. At the RPM your shifting at, you should not experience any condidtions that would negate the need for a main girdle.

Oops, I typed it in wrong. I am running ARP rod bolts.

I'd like to take the motor higher, because I'm still making power at 7900.
