Rear strut mounting plate question
I just got all the H&R's installed... now I have a serious clunk from the rears. The shocks and mounting plates are from a 99 Si. Everything is mounted back on the car, when I look at the rubber bushing in the middle of the mounting plate and push the rear of the car down... I can see movement. Do I just need to tighten up the nut on the shock more? Can I do this with everything still installed? I'll post pics later if I need to.
yup..Just tighten the top nut a little .You might need a impact gun as the whole shaft likes to turn with normal tools. But yea it should move VERY little if at all when the car is pushed down. I have done this before , thought i messed up my struts...
I'm going to attempt to tighten them down with my hand tools because I don't want to use an impact to tighten them down. I need to be able to get these off when I do my shocks in the summer.
