i think 1400 is still too high. The block itself, you can get for 100 bux, the sleeving job is 850 (I already talked to Earl), the girdle and bearings is under 200. Bore and hone is another 200. You never make your money back on this stuff, so my offer is 1100 shipped.
hmmmm..... true true. lemme think long and hard about that. i'll let you know by monday cuz i'm still in california.

The block used to be mine. It includes the following:
b18a block: I got it for about $200 with block/crank/mains
Sleeves: $950 if I remember right+shipping
girdle: $200
Bearings: about $100
AEBS main studs: $120
additional machine work for girdle: about $150
Micropolish crank: $40
The mains have dowel pin holes machined in all 6 holes for the girdle. It was done the right way, and does not need a line bore. The crank spins very smoothly.
Also, I had the 4 corner head stud holes bored out for dowel pins on all 4 corners of the block... So you can use 4 dowel pins if you would like for the head.
This block is top notch, and well worth $1500...if you do not think it is worth that much, buy your own block and have all that done to it...come talk to me about $1800 later...
