Default Integra Type-R Pistons in a B18b block/rods

Would there be any issues with using ITR pistons on B18B rods in a B18B block? I have heard from some people that you need to shave down some material on the rod. If this is the case, I'd have to abandon this idea for now.
Is there any chance of damaging contact between the piston and rod if I use this set up?

PS I've searched

You will have to shave the rods just a bit in order for them to fit correctly. Consider JDM P30 pistons as a higher compression alternative that doesn't need shaved rods.

Of course the CTR pistons also require shaving of the rods.

I have CTR pistons in my LS. They will yield a compression ratio of approximately 12.5:1.

You might want to mention this before advising him to go with these pistons, without knowing what cams he's using, tuning, octane, etc.

I was told that the mods required to make the itr or ctr pistons fit only costs 4-5 dollars a rod, which seems like it would be well worth it.
