Default Tires

I've got a 93 accord se Coupe. I wanted to put 17's on it but I also wanted some meat on the tires instead of being extremely low profile. Has anyone put 205/50/17's on these cars before wthout it rubbing?

Is the car lowered? and a 50 seiries tire is pretty "meaty" i have 45 seiries on my 17's and its not too much and not too little, just right.

For 17's I would put 205/45/17 which still should be a meaty side and decent traction, or you can option for a 215/45/17. Check out this utility to see the visual differences: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I have a 91 Accord and ran 18's for a two years but just recently got 17's. Im running a 215/45/17 and my car is lowered about 2" all around and have no problems. It rides great and they dont rub.

thanks guys I appreciate the comments. Although 45 is pushing it now on my scale as I used to have 18's on my old car and those were a 35 series tire. When I used the calculater from miata the size actually came out to be only .4% difference and since I'm stock height I think 205/50/17's will work. Thanks.
