Cracked a piece off of the Oil Pressure sensor housing.........Now What? Pics........
Update #2 I ended up pulling the motor today............I took it to an aluminum welding shop and they welded it up pretty good. I will be putting the motor back in tomorrow. Thanks to everyone that helped! Also if someone else runs into this problem, I suggest you do it right the first time and get it welded. JB weld wont hold for ****.
Update: I ended up using JB weld to block off the hole.......it worked for about 5 days and I started to see oil seeping through again! So now it looks like I am forced to pull the engine out AGAIN! A question that I need answered is can I get this thing welded with everything still connected to it. Im just going to pull the motor and take it to a welding shop and see if they can weld it. If anyone can answer my question, I would appreciate it. Thanks
Like the title says, I broke the housing off of the OPS and I tried JB weld but it didnt hold up. I need to get some ideas from the all motor guys. Let me know how I should go about fixing this.
Also, while I have a pic of this up, what is that green sensor above the oil pressure sensor? Just in case you need to know, its a JDM B16.
Any sort of advice and help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Can anyone confirm this?
Also is there an alternate to taking out the block and getting in welded? Im sure there are people who have fixed this without welding it back. Thanks

see if you can stick a bolt in there and try to seal it up again with JB weld. that might work, unless you really want to use this spot for oil pressure reading. i believe you can tap the head(front by the vtec silenoid sp?) for oil pressure.
do you mind me ask how this cracked? i just installed a autometer sending unit on my block and im kinda skeptical of it holding up.

After I finished putting the motor together, I fired it up and I saw oil leaking. So I took out the oil pressure sensor and put teflon tape on the threads. While I was tightening.......CRACK. I tried JB weld but it didnt seem to hold up.

You have another problem. Change that damn FRAM oil filter before its cardboard end cap gets sucked threw you motor in 1 billion pieces and it staves your motor for every last drop of dirty oil you still have.
As for you intial problem: weld! and im not talking jb

you have to take it out.. iv tried it.. and even then there is no garuantee that you will have full penetration becuase of the casting impuritys

Thats what I wanted to hear!!!!! I knew there was someone on here who has fixed this problem before without welding.
Anyway, about the tapping, I would have to grind down the lower half of the broken housing, then tap, right? Thanks for your help!
EDIT: On a side note, I just hit the 600 club without steroids!

just make sure that you do not tap it too far to block the oiling system.. you can tell by taking out the alan plug on the oil pump side and you can see through to were you are tapping ..

Now does anyone know what that green sensor is?

Water Temp Fan Switch on 1st gen B16a and 90-91 Integra B18a. The newers cars had a smaller switch mounted to the thermostat housing.

Thank you, I have always wondered what the hell that was.

Also, while I have a pic of this up, what is that green sensor above the oil pressure sensor? Just in case you need to know, its a JDM B16.

block it off completely with JB weld and hondabond, use gray masking tape to wrap around jb weld mix to keep it compact while drying, the hondabond goes in the hole before.
Read oil pressure from side of head that has the small allen plug.
if you're gonna weld and retap, be forwarned about metal debris from tapping, filter better be very small micron, no FRAM use Honda OEM.

OK, the real deal, buy a new 1\8 pipe tap and a 1\8 pipe plug (with allen drive). Coat the tap with grease and tap the block. Pull the the plugs and turn the engine over, this will be messey, but should push out any chips you missed. Plug the hole with the pipe plug, and take the oil pressure from the head, upper rear on the intake side with an adaptor (where the fitting goes for an LS-VTEC conversion) this should solve your prob.
That same exact thing happened to me, when I was putting a b20 vtec together for my brother.
So I drained the oil out of the motor. Cleaned the broken piece with brake cleaner, cleaned the block with brake cleaner. Lathered both pieces with JB weld. And stuck the oil pressure sensor back in. And let it sit overnight. Then I bought the Golden Eagle oil sandwich plate. to supply oil to the head. This was 2 years ago. The car is driven daily on crappy Dallas streets. It has not yet leaked. Good luck whatever you do.
