Default b18c1 or h22

Ok i have a 94 gsr. My rings are fried and it took a good digger in my cyclinder wall, so i need to get my car running again. My friend wants me to get a h22 for the power (jdm 200 hp and i think 154 or something for trq.) But i want to know if anyone has done this i know that the wiring for the alt. needs to be extended and the starter. I just want to now if it is worth it or should i just get another gsr.

It would definately be cheaper to overbore the stock block and rebuild it.

What do you want to do?

seriously, just rebuild your motor. You make it sound like your motor has no chance.

but if you wanna just go with a swap, then give me the b18c1

Do you like going fast in a straight line or while you're turning? If you like Drag Racing H22(you need modded axles$$$) If you like driving like its supposed to be done, B18c1... The best way to do it=B18c5. *kisses Honda logo*

That motor needs a sleave. When he said took a digger he meant it. Looks like a nut fell in the intake or something with that crap and rattled around before its found its way out HAHA.
I already told you stretchnuts the wiring is easy. Its just the cutting that's a pain in the ****. Once you go H22 you can't go back. I don't know if you want to spend the money on the extra parts you'll need. And I know I don't want to spend the time doing the swap for your punk ***. But whatever you chose is what you chose. I got your back. Better make that choice quick because the little blue bus is leaving in a few days. Just remember how Jeremys bone stock H22 ran. Kick the ish out of any mildly modded gs-r swapped car in town no problem. That torque was awesome. But we spent a lot of time getting that thing in there perfect. And you can't beat the look of popping the hood to reveal an h22. It's like hondas crappy version of a big block.
BTW it's a b18c because its mad JdM yO!!!

you have to extend the wiring for the harness, stronger motor mounts, its not worth it trust me. if u r road racing then now

You can find full RSX-S swaps for $2800. I've seen 4 or 5 in the past few months on my local board (www.houston-imports.com). I haven't heard of one going for 6000+ since 2003.

i would recommend the gsr. It won't be the hassle of new mounts, wiring harnesses, axles and everything when you can just get a new motor for the gsr you already have.

plus, IMO there are more options for b series motors, but i'm biased, as i have a gsr

I don't know how axles are a pain in the *** at all. You just use integra axles with an f22(90-93 I believe) half shaft. Pretty easy stuff there.

accrod half shaft</TD></TR></TABLE> Yeah did I stutter? Either that or you could jack some nice HASPORT axles that will work with the prelude halfshaft.

what u crazy! why waste time on a h22 when u already got a bangin *** motor! just buy a new block or re sleeve the block that u got right now and throw in some new pistons, rings, and rods. i did my 4 under 1200, every thing inside my block brand new, except 4 the crank, but i got it balance so its still all good

i got some hasport mounts, and axels, and an h22 why am i carzy for getting an h22. What does a usdm gsr have 170 hp and 121 trq. Whan an jdm h22 has 200hp and 161 trq. how could you go wrong. Its all about the trq baby. i bought the mounts and axels got the shift linkage. Now all i need do is spend some time on my engine bay cutting a whole for the shifter cables get a fuel rail and matbe and intake manifold. then i will have a dam good motor. Then just get some type-s cams it will be bad
